Classes & Event Information1. * I Should be Writing! * – An Online Writing Boot Camp for Procrastinators and Busy People Are you a writer who isn't getting enough writing done? Do you want to write but just aren't doing it? Are your writing ideas in your head but not on the page? Do you promise yourself you will get serious...when you have time, on Monday, after the New Year...? Need a gentle push...or a very firm shove? Over six weeks I will help you: create the time to write, adopt a writer's mindset, develop and maintain regular writing routines, deal with writing obstacles, set and achieve specific writing goals -- and enjoy the process. I will act as your coach, ally and (kind but tough) task-master. Through email exchanges, instructional materials, productivity and accountability tools, a private online discussion group, and telephone conversations, you will become a writer who writes. A few (limited) opportunities for feedback on your writing also offered. The Winter 2011 session began January 6. A new session will begin in late March, dates to be announced. Self-paced; no need to be online at specific times.) For registration and payment information, click on the link above. 2. ONLINE CREATIVE NONFICTION CLASSES - The popular Memoir & Personal Essay Four by Four series. This series features a different key element of creative nonfiction each week for four weeks. Every month or so, a new session begins. Sign up for each session separately. Plus, an online forum to interact with others enrolled in the class. New for 2011: a final wrap-up phone consultation for each writer. Cost: $175. (nonrefundable) (Self-paced; no need to be online at specific times.) 3. RUTGERS UNIVERSITY WRITING PROGRAM EXTENSION, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ.
